Have you ever played around with magnets? If so, you may have noticed that you can move one magnet with another without the magnets even touching. Magnets can exert a force on things not even touching them. How do you think that force changes as the distance between the magnet and the object changes? In this lesson, you will be investigating magnetic force. You will measure the force by counting the number of paper clips that a magnet can hold. The distance is measured by the number of pieces of cardboard under the magnet. This will be clearer after you begin the experiments.
